Welcome to Kirby Creations ...

This is a family-owned and oriented small side business. My husband and I live in the way out in the country with our children, 3 cats, 6 dogs and 8 horses. We both commute daily to the capitol city of Alabama to work regular jobs. Then we get to come home at night to God-given peace and serenity.

We had a crazy but wonderful wedding. With only a week before the big day, everything seemed to fall apart . we lost the location and officiate! So I had 7 days to replace both ... once done, I had to notify the short list of guests.

No time to cry, scream or just have a complete breakdown . we had a wedding to finish planning - or re-plan! Luckily, a friend came to the rescue with a new locationand we found a wonderful pastor to marry us.

So, on June 28, 2003 our dream “hillbilly” wedding all came together with the help of the friends and family members that shared the day with us.

I truly believe weddings should not be about just etiquette or tradition . or just because. Don't get me wrong . I'm all about tradition. I believe in the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman, joining together with God's blessing. But don't ever be afraid of stepping outside of the box and doing things your way . after all, these are YOUR memories and it is YOUR marriage!

I have always kept this saying close to my heart:
Be yourself - No one can ever tell you you're doing it wrong.

I've been involved in graphic art & design my entire life. When the idea for Kirby Creations first came to me (and I believe all my talents and ideas are God-given), I knew that I had the inspiration - that first wedding invitation - but I needed a direction ... suddenly it was there as plain as day:
Keep It Real - Be Yourself.

So that's what all of my Kirby Creations are . me being me. And they are about Family. My ideas are rooted in celebrating family and life. They are about having fun.

My wedding invitations are simple. I don't do response cards, reception cards, RSVP cards . getting the picture? That gets complicated. There are lots of those available online that are just beautiful, but my purpose is to provide simple ideas for simple people. Life's just too hectic as it is!

As for my wedding, "I love it when a plan comes together" has to be God's motto because only He can truly turn any dreadful situation into something more amazing than anyone could ever expect! And who else could still allow fruits to be produced years later?
