The County Gazette

For a number of years, I have worked off and on for the County Gazette. This monthly newspaper publication is family-owned and FREE to the public. It is supported entirely by advertisements. This paper is unique as it offers a lot of local and personal news. I often wrote copy and designed ads, as well. In 2004, the Gazette began publishing a second newspaper to cover a different region. When I began working for the Gazette several years before, I merely created the layout and design. By 2003, I was also writing copy, researching local events, soliciting stories and designing all the new advertisements. Another part of this job was working closely with the printer in regards to electronic files, proofreading bluelines and on-time delivery.
